You don’t need to eat lots of food post workout. Nor do you need heaps of protein powder, chicken breast or sweet potatoes! It’s fine if that’s what you choose, but it’s also important to listen to your own body.
Do you crave something?
And by “crave,” I mean does something look especially delicious to you after you exercise?
For one blogger it was a weird combination of ginger, orange and fish oil!
But what may seem like a weird combination may have been actually brilliant for that particular body.
Remember that your body is constantly changing. Every day your body is different. That is why it is important to listen to your body sometimes.
Both oranges and ginger are healthy foods, but who would think to combine eating a slice of orange and then chewing on a piece of ginger?
Fish oil has great benefits as well. Do you take fish oil? What kind? Do you feel it has benefited you?
Whatever you eat post workout, congratulate yourself. First of all for working out, taking time out for yourself, staying healthy and providing a good example for those around you. Secondly, congratulate yourself for listening to your body and eating what you want.
