Ever since I saw my mum reach for the jar of Turmeric when my baby brother fell off the counter he had climbed up on and cracked his head, I knew it was an important powder.
She immediately took a scoop and applied it directly to his bleeding head before rushing to the emergency room.
I remember when I had sore throats she would heat some honey on the stove and add a teaspoon of turmeric to it and make me lick the spoon like a lollipop until the mixture was all gone.
In our house it was always a magical anti-septic, a yellow magic healer. It was a secret that has been passed on from generation to generation and finally to me.
Here are some details!
Oh and about my brother, he got a few stitches and learned not to climb up on the counter. He’s now grown up, very successful but still is quite the daredevil. But that’s another story for another blog.
Do you use turmeric? How?
