What is kefir and why’s it so good for you?


A dear friend of mine recently gave me some kefir grains. I’ll explain how to make kefir in another blog post, but for now I’ll just explore the benefits of this probiotic fermented drink.

I’ve made two batches, and so far I really like it. 
   
 

I also love drinking milk, buttermilk and eating plain Greek yogurt. My friend uses this homemade kefir in her smoothies.

I was surprised at how many benefits there are two drinking kefir! Have you tried it?
